The house is situated in a quiet village (pictured right) in a nature conservancy zone.
The bakery, bar-tabac and local shop are a two minute cycle ride away.
Go in the opposite direction and you will be in the countryside in less than a minute.
The coastline is between two miles (Gironde Estuary) and five miles (Atlantic Ocean) depending which way you go.

Bordered to the West (5 miles) by the Atlantic coast with it’s endless beaches, pine forests and seaside towns this low lying area is full of wildlife and excellent activities.
To the East, The Gironde Estuary is 2 miles away and features fishing and more nature watching opportunities.
South Eastward, the wine producing region of The Medoc, including Mouton Rosthchild, Cotes de Blaye and St Brice, is less than half an hours drive away. The Gironde resorts of Paulliac and Blaye are to be found in this region too.
The lake resorts of Lacanau and Hourtin are half an hour to the South West.
Northwards is the “Pointe” itself (7 miles) featuring Le Verdon and the car ferry (BAC) connection to Royan, The Vendee and beyond.
Soulac Sur Mer (5 miles, (pictured left)
This typically French resort is the nearest seaside town. Renowned for it’s white sand beaches and the architechture of it’s villas. Soulac is a family resort with a pedestrianised main street lined with bars, restaurants and shops.
Montalivet les Bains (7 miles)
Set amongst the pine forests and sand dunes, the small resort of Montalivet is popular with families and young surfers alike. It has a relaxed feel, excellent bars and restaurants and an enormaous market every day during the season.
